Modular Container Manufacturing

Long Parts Start Here.

F4-6020 Fiber Laser

The MVD F-4-6020 fiber laser was selected by our customer in Germany to cut long components for modular container manufacturing in-house. Its 6,000 × 2,000 mm cutting area accommodates wall, roof, floor, door, and structural components with fewer repositioning steps and fewer production interruptions.

Why Is a 6 × 2 m Laser Better for Container Production?

  • Long container components fit within fewer cutting programs
  • Longer nests reduce repositioning and production interruptions
  • Complete component sets can be prepared on the same sheet
  • Network integration connects programming directly with production

Connected Container Production

Container Rent Petri invested in two complementary MVD systems to bring cutting and bending in-house. The F-4-6020 fiber laser prepares long, precisely nested parts; the C-2703100 tandem press brake transforms them into finished structural forms—creating a connected workflow from flat sheet to finished module.

From Long Sheet to Bending-Ready Part

With its 6,000 × 2,000 mm cutting area and 4 kW fiber laser power, the F-4-6020 allows complete container component sets to be nested efficiently across long sheets. Connected to the company's production network, cutting programs can be prepared from an external workstation and transferred directly into production—creating a smoother handover from laser cutting to tandem bending.

Twin Precision. Singular Control.

iBend D Series Tandem Press Brake

Once the components leave the laser, the C-270-3100 tandem press brake system takes over. Operating in synchronization, the two machines provide the extended bending capability required for long container walls, roof and floor elements, frame profiles, and structural components.

When full tandem length is not required, each press brake can operate independently, allowing Petri to process two different jobs simultaneously. An AP front support system with up to 200 kg lifting capacity follows heavy sheets throughout the bending

Why Tandem?

  • Sync for length, split for speed—two jobs at once
  • Lower cost than a single extra-long bed
  • Ergonomic front supports; faster changeovers

200 kg. Supported Through Every Degree.

The AP front support system lifts and follows sheets weighing up to 200 kg as they move through the bend. Heavy container panels remain supported, balanced, and under control—reducing operator strain while improving stability and consistency throughout the bending cycle.

Clean Cuts. Ready for the Next Step.

iShear B Series Guillotine Shear

The B-06-3100 guillotine shear supports the preparation of sheet metal components used throughout modular container production. With its 3,100 mm cutting length, the machine enables sheets to be cut accurately to the required dimensions before moving to the next production stage.

For repeat parts and standardized panel dimensions, shearing provides a straightforward way to prepare material efficiently. This helps maintain a consistent workflow between raw sheet preparation, cutting, and bending operations.

Why Guillotine Shearing?

  • Fast preparation of rectangular sheet components
  • Consistent dimensions for repeat production
  • Simple processing for straight-cut requirements
  • Efficient material preparation before bending

From Sheet to Production-Ready Blank

The B-06-3100 adds a flexible sheet preparation step to the production flow. By cutting material to the required dimensions before downstream operations, it supports a more organized transition from raw sheet to finished container components.
